About Me

Hi. My name is Linda Brinser. I’m a retired health care professional-- an occupational therapist--and I have been studying the H5N1 Bird Flu or Avian Flu for the last several years.

The new novel virus, H1N1 swine flu has a lot of similarities to avian flu , and that is why I started this pandemic site. To share with you, the things I have learned over the years, about safe medical care at home, illness prevention and self-sufficiency.

I live in the U.S. with my husband, Steve. We are boaters. And because we lived on a boat for a few years, we have learned to be as self-sufficient as possible.

We follow a common sense approach to life. And I think you would find us to be very much like you - or your neighbor down the street.

Between us, Steve (my husband) and I have 8 children, and a great group of grandchildren. We live in a regular house, eat normal food, garden, watch movies, cook and bake for fun, walk for exercise, and we have faith in God.

While I am experienced at reading medical charts (and my job description has always included having knowledge of medical conditions--and explaining complicated medical issues to laypersons), I am not a doctor.

In all cases, if you have any doubts about information on this site or you question what you see, consult your family physician.

Even doctors don't always agree with each other, so make sure that you are comfortable with the medical care given to your loved ones.
