Dangers of Body Scanners
And the Erosion of Your Rights

Survival preparedness

Airport scanners or full body scanners are an invasion of privacy. In addition to subjecting passengers to public humiliation, they can also be dangerous for some travelers.

Full body scanners will soon be the norm at all airports. And, if Janet Napolitano has her way, in every bus station, train station, ball field and your local mall.

In an unprecedented move, the U.S. government has allowed the TSA (Transportation Safety Authority) to subject travelers in American to screenings with pictures that are forbidden (for being too graphic) on many internet websites.

Of course the TSA has insisted that any images that their employees capture—cannot be saved. But there is some disagreement about this.

instead of the arrow on the screen.

Images seen by TSA employees are very graphic
and there is evidence that they can be saved and stored.

In fact, security personnel at a courthouse in Florida were found to not only have saved images but they shared the images among colleagues--in order to humiliate one of their co-workers.

Of course the full body scanners will keep us safe from terrorism—or will they? Even though thousands of travelers are being made to expose their most private parts to strangers, there is no sound proof that a full body scanning image could prevent another terrorist attack.

Here’s what Isaac Yeffet, a top Mideast security expert has to say about security body scanners and their effectiveness:

Dealing with terrorists all the time, security
personnel in the Mideast don't use body scanners.

Judge Andrew P. Napolitano has written a book A Nation of Sheep, that discusses the loss of our personal freedoms in America—and the United States government’s using the terrorist threat as an excuse to rob us of our freedoms.

Dangers of Body Scanners

Many people are concerned about body scanners radiation. And, in fact there are many people who may be harmed by the radiation of the airport scanners. If you or a family member are one of the following groups, you should be very cautious about going through a full body scanner:
  • Pregnant women

  • Children and infants

  • You have cancer or have recovered from cancer, especially skin cancers.

  • You travel frequently. Pilots and stewardesses could be exposed to radiation several times a week.

  • People with gene mutations (1 in 20 persons), may be at increased risk as they are less able to repair the DNA damage caused by the x-ray scan.

Some of the TSA’s body scanning machines subject you to ionizing radiation. This kind of radiation, even in small doses, can lead to very aggressive cancers and ischemic heart disease. It can also cause genetic changes.

So what if you don’t fly very often? Unfortunately that doesn’t exempt you. Radiation is cumulative, and the effects build up in your body over time. It’s best to limit radiation exposure as much as possible.

Why the Push
For Airport Scanners?

It is curious why the TSA would encourage the use of full body scanners that embarrass the public, could be harmful to your health, and have not been proven to prevent terrorist attacks.

Remember Michael Chertoff? He’s now working in the private sector with his own business—a consulting business that sells full body scanners. Michael profits from the sale of full body scanners.

Let Michael explain…

instead of the arrow on the screen.

Unfortunately you may not be given a lot of choices when going through airport security. If you choose to opt out on the airport scanners, you will be given a TSA pat down.

And, if you choose to opt out on the pat down, you may be fined up to $11,000 and possibly be looking at jail time.

Many Americans are choosing to drive, rather than endure the public humiliation of going through airport security. Just make sure you know what you’ll face at your airport—before you buy your next airline ticket!
