Cooking Substitutions

Knowing cooking substitutions for common items in your pantry can help you complete your favorite recipe, if you run out of an ingredient or you can't get to the store.

In the event of a pandemic quarantine , you may have to rely on your own creativity and knowing how to "make do"--if you are not able to shop at the store for weeks.

Most cooking substitutions are simple and use ingredients that you already have.
