Emergency Water Storage

Survival preparedness

Emergency water storage is very easy, and it can save your life. No one expects to be in an emergency situation, but it happens. And simple preparedness can be the difference between life and death.

Most of us take fresh drinking water for granted. But you cannot do without it!

You can live for 2 weeks without food, but only 3 days without water. It should be the most important part of your emergency preparedness plan.

Plan to store from 1-2 gallons per day for each person in your household. And store at least 2 weeks worth of drinking water. That way, even if you find yourself isolated after a winter storm, a hurricane, a tornado or an earthquake, you will have enough water to survive and you’ll be able to work to get essential things done.

Of course you’ll need more water for things like washing hands, bathing and cooking…

Emergency water storage will ensure that you always have water when you need it.

As precious as it is, we often take water for granted!

Drinking Water for Emergencies

And even though it is likely that others will come to help your community, you cannot expect help to arrive immediately. Roads may be impassable and there may be many other communities in need.

Your best chance for comfort and survival—is to be prepared, yourself. And that includes emergency water storage.

While many emergency preparedness items will help you be more comfortable, water will keep you alive…
