Mandatory Vaccination for Swine Flu? Will there be mandatory vaccination for swine flu? Healthcare workers and others have already been told that they may have to line up for compulsory swine flu shots. What about the rest of us? Rumors abound, as they always do, when there is a major event. The WHO (World Health Organization) has told us that H1N1 swine flu is a pandemic flu , and that we need to brace ourselves for major illness in every country. And, recently, the WHO not only recommended the use of LIVE flu virus—it also recommended mandatory vaccinations! We are looking at the first possibility of worldwide forced vaccinations—in history! Can this be possible? Here's a recommendation by President Obama of the US:

The next step could be a campaign to help us understand how important it is (and how patriotic) to get a swine flu vaccination. Then some people - government workers, healthcare workers, first responders, children (in order to attend school) – might be required to get flu vaccines. Of course, the list of people who MUST get vaccinations for swine flu might be expanded later—to prevent the spread of the pandemic flu to others. instead of the arrow on the screen.

Project BioShield Act of 2004 (S 15)July 21, 2004 – this law provides for the following: "to provide protections and countermeasures against chemical, radiological, or nuclear agents that may be used in a terrorist attack against the United States by giving the National Institutes of Health contracting flexibility, infrastructure improvements, and expediting the scientific peer review process, and streamlining the Food and Drug Administration approval process of countermeasures."This means that, if the Secretaries of Health and Human Services (HHS) and the Department of Defense (DOD) declare a national emergency, the FDA can accelerate the approval of drugs and vaccines—whether or not they have been proven to be safe or effective. The government can also stockpile vaccine and other drugs. When did the government become part of the health care industry? The Pandemic and All-Hazards Preparedness Act (S. 3678)December 29, 2006 – This act amended the “Public Health Service Act regarding public health security and all-hazards preparedness and response, and for other purposes.” Critics and supporters alike have shown concern over issues of privacy, liability and financial profits that would be gained because of this act.Those who oppose its implementation also worry that it could be used for exaggerated or non-existent threats or to create mass hysteria for political gains. The Public Readiness and Emergency Preparedness (PREP) ActThis act is part of the 2006 Defense Appropriations Act (HR 2863) signed into law by George Bush - The bill allows the HHS secretary to declare any disease an epidemic or to declare a national emergency requiring mandatory vaccinations!There aren't any rules listed for requiring this. The Secretary can decide what warrants a threat and penalties for those who don't comply, could be created. There are none listed in the act, but, of course, there will be consequences if we have a mandatory vaccination. According to the bill, the Secretary may "issue a declaration....that provides immunity from tort liability (except for willful misconduct) for claims of loss caused, arising out of, relating to, or resulting from administration or use of (vaccine or other pharmaceutical) countermeasures to diseases, threats and conditions determined by the Secretary to constitute a present, or credible risk of a future public health emergency...." In fact, the
vaccine manufacturers have already been granted immunity
from legal prosecution. They have a green light to proceed with vaccine distribution—even if inadequately tested and even if not effective. There will be NO consequences for health problems that may develop! Massachusetts
On April 28, 2009, the Massachusetts Senate unanimously passed a pandemic flu bill that will severely limit the freedom to choose health care for those in the state. The "Pandemic Response Bill", number 2028 only needs to be approved by the MA House. |
